Hay Barn is a most unusual stone cottage with an attractive split-level ground floor. The cottage is full of character with wood burner, beams and exposed stonework. The self-catering accommodation has been lovingly renovated and well furnished to provide a comfortable holiday retreat.
The patio area at the front has garden furniture and is surrounded by shrubs, giving privacy to enjoy an alfresco meal. Or you may wish to sit out on the shared lawns surrounded by mature shrubs and planters. The nearby footpath takes you to the pretty coves of Cwm Yr Eglwys, Pwllgwaelod and the wonderful clifftop scenery of Dinas Island, you may even be lucky enough to spot a dolphin or seal.
The cottage, which is adjacent to Old Rectory Cottage, has WIFI installed and also enjoys all the facilities on offer at the Dinas Country Club including the outdoor heated pool (seasonal), bar and children’s play park and the nearby village of Dinas is just a short walk away.
Set in 22 acres of lawned grounds and surrounded by woods, the cottages are within walking distance of Dinas Cross and all its amenities on the north Pembrokeshire coast and within the Pembrokeshire National Park. A coastal path runs through the site which formed part of the old pilgrims’ trail, indeed there is even a ‘holy’ well where the monks would offer sustenance to pilgrims on their annual journey to St Davids; the footpath leads down to the pretty beaches of Cwm yr Eglwys, Pwllgwaelod and Aberfforest, with their scenic sea views of Dinas Head Island.
Hay Barn has WIFI installed and is close to the onsite bar and children’s play park.
Entrance to the cottage is into a flag stoned area between the sitting room and kitchen, found up a short number of stairs. The sitting room/dining area has a wood burning stove, comfortable sofas, drift wood coffee table, flat screen TV with digibox and DVD player. The dining area has a rectangular dining table with seating for 4.
The kitchen, accessible up a short set of steps, has electric hob/oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer.
Through the sitting room and up some stairs you will find the bathroom with a power shower, hand basin and toilet.
On the upper floor there’s bedroom 2 and its bunk beds and fitted wardrobe and as well as the master bedroom with its fitted wardrobe, dressing table and double bed.
The holiday cottage is centrally heated with radiators powered by a renewable energy air source heat pump.
A barbecue and picnic table are found outside the cottage.
